FAQs

What is the lead time for my order?

About 2-3 weeks. I keep very minimal stock, mostly in the couple of items that consistently sell, and everything else is printed to order. Couple reasons for this, but primarily so that I can guarentee that each order receives the newest possible revision of that product as I am always integrating feedback from customers and my own experiences.

What material are Kiwi Milsim products made from?

Most of the printed products are made from PETG filament. PETG is best known for its durability and strength, and the plastic is resistant to high temperatures (85C/185F), UV rays, water, chemical solvents, and more. All of this makes PETG an ideal filament material option for printing parts that will exist in harsh environments or have to undergo a lot of physical stress. While there are a number of materials available that would outperform PETG, the performance for the price point is undeniable.

How do I know if my box is compatible with a Kiwi Milsim insert?

Use the descriptions of the item and provided pictures to make a determination, and if you have any questions to help clarify, then simply send us a message on Facebook or Instagram, or an email at kiwimilsimfab@gmail.com.

What items do I need to get set up?

Kiwi Milsim boxes are designed to be as simple as possible, and the initial setup is a reflection of that mindset. As of now there are three variations:

1. Use any T-connector (deans) battery between 7.4 to 11.1 volts combined with a Kiwi Milsim pressure pad (various kinds, see the Pressure Pad collection).

2. Use the Kiwi Milsim Auto-Feed wiring harness (Polarstar FCU Rev. 3's MCU port compatible). This option uses the FCU battery to power the box.

3. Some other, customer-determined, methodology to activate the box mag, whether using an box internal battery with a custom switch, or some other method of auto-feed wiring harness.

What are the advantages and dis-advantages of Kiwi Milsim style box magazines?

Kiwi Milsim boxes are designed to be as simple and robust as possible. The designs all allow for a good balance between internal battery space and BB capacity. And the feed mechanisms are easily removable to improve maintenance capabilities/swap out in the event of full failure. We wont promise zero issues, but we can promise that anything you come across is readily solvable. The disadvantages are caused by the items that are considered advantages. The BB capacity could be increased by reducing or eliminating battery space and decreasing the robustness of the print.

Whats special about Kiwi Milsim Feed Mechanism versus anything else?

We developed a clever but simple clutch mechanism for the feed wheel so you can never overstress the driving motor or your replicas nozzle. It feeds strong when it cans but once a threshold is hit, the clutch engages and stops feeding BB's into the replicas chamber.
